Dianova Lapstone AB was established in Boden in 1993 and is since then centered around the secret Dianova process setting new standards for diamond surface quality worldwide. Renowned for unparalleled evenness, density of diamond per surface area, and enduring durability, our process is why we’re celebrated for having the best diamond surfaces globally.
In 2017, a significant milestone marked the evolution of our journey when Ola Pettersson acquired the company, infusing it with new energy and a strategic vision focused on restarting and refocusing on innovation and improvement. This transition wasn’t just about maintaining the excellence of our already acclaimed process but enhancing and expanding our capabilities, reinforcing our commitment to quality and sustainability.
Manufacturing locally since our inception, Dianova Lapstone knife sharpeners and special tool sharpeners are crafted using a proprietary “recipe” that remains a closely guarded secret. In 2011, we moved our production to Skellefteå. Maintaining prioritity of good worker conditions and minimizing our environmental footprint, showcasing our commitment to responsible manufacturing.

#1 Quality – we use the highest quality grade of industrial diamonds as it is the only way to ensure that the diamonds are actually 15, 30 and 60 microns large (small). The diamonds are attached with a technique that gives the world’s highest diamond density per unit of surface area, and in addition they are hard-wearing and the brows last for many years even during intensive use.
#2 Uncomplicated – our products contain as few components as possible and therefore they do not break down. Because of this, and also that the products otherwise keep what they promise, we have not had more than a handful of returns since the beginning of the 1990s.
